What a week for Huronia CrossFitters! Congratulations to 3 new members of the Muscle Up club - this week! Kelly Brown on Monday, Jacob Busch on Thursday and Matt Goetz in Friday's lunch class. Matt just squeaked it before he left for university this afternoon. Also, it should be mentioned that Joanne fulfilled her end of the deal and nailed 30 consecutive pull-ups - a new PR! We say farewell to Kelly Harris, Caitlin Garrett and Matt Goetz and wish them well in their university studies and of course represent at your new CF Boxes!

Saturday's Workout SCAVENGER HUNT! In teams of 3-4 you must complete the following: Picture of your team: 1) In front of a Red door 2) In water 3) On a park bench 4) With the street sign ‘Pillsbury’ in the background 5) With an elaborate flower garden (*BONUS – team with the best garden = minus 1 min) 6) Hanging from a bar (not in the gym!...but nice try) 7) In front of a school (*BONUS – 2 different schools = minus 1 min) 8) Rolling down a grassy hill (*BONUS – if a random person joins you = minus 2 mins) 9) With a dog 10) With some friends you find along the way 11) With a boat in the background 12) Performing 10 burpees somewhere along the Burpee Mile track 13) Sliding down a slide 14) Sunbathing on the beach 15) Hiding in the forest 16) Performing a pyramid (*BONUS – the most spectators in the background = minus 1 min) 17) Running the bases 18) Climbing a fence 19) In front of a transport truck 20) Performing an amazing feat of strength ALL TEAM MEMBERS MUST BE BACK INSIDE DRIVEN ATHLETICS BY 12:00PM TO QUALIFY! We all wish you a speedy recovery Louise! How do know when your clients get it? I recently had two converations in the gym that brought a huge smile to my face. Two clients, one age 38yrs the other 65yrs had just completed their 6km run at the same time. The younger client, very impressed asked the others' age and discoeverd her mother was around the same age. "My mom could never have done that" she exclaimed. "She is thin but she is not fit like you." She went on to explain that when she first started here at Huronia CrossFit her goal was to loose weight and look good. Now she said, "I don't care about that. I care how strong I am, like how much I can snatch!" Another client, a police officer in his mid forties recently was talking to me about getting into shape and he said "I don't want to be in good shape for my age, I want to be in goodshape no matter what." I LOVE IT! These people get it!
