Welcome To Driven Jiu Jitsu - Midland |
Congratulations to our Kombat Classic 2011 BJJ Tournament Participants
Driven Jiu Jitsu had a strong showing over the weekend as 4 of our athletes proved their grappling skills amongst the top competitors in Ontario. Mason Roy ended up losing his three matches, but he battled his heart out norrowly losing the first two. He went on to win his exhibition match in dominating fashion. Madison Brooks competed in the 65.5lbs white belt division winning the GOLD medal. She had extra satisfaction as she defeated an opponent that she had previously lost to in the last tournament. Gabe Watson showed his true grit as he defended a serious Kimura but ended up losing his only match in single elimanation. Kelly Brown came home with the SILVER medal in the 149lbs white belt class. He proved that all his CrossFit and Jiu Jitsu training is paying off as he out worked his opponent to take the win in the semi-finals.

A big thanks to Keith who blessed us with a couple lessons in the month of June. Keith was Bill Browne's sensei, so needless to say Keith had a wealth of knowledge. And moreso an undeniable love of pain tolerance. Thank you for not totally breaking our fingers Keith.
